Soap Ratings: Everyone’s a Winner! GH, Y&R, B&B & DOOL All Get Top Spot Somewhere

When it comes to soap and TV ratings in general, there is typically just one show that gets the top spot. However, it seems that the most recent ratings for Days of Our Lives, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless and General Hospital show that each one is a winner somewhere. Keep reading to find out more.
The Bold and the Beautiful: Household Win
When it comes to B&B, the CBS soap came in first in households with 1.55 for the week ending on Friday, July 31. As fans know, the daytime series was the first soap to return to work after the COVID-19 pandemic shut down production. New episodes have been airing since July 20, 2020.
Bradley Bell is head writer and executive producer of the 30-minute soap.
Days of Our Lives: Women 18-49
When it comes to the only soap on NBC, Days of Our Lives, they also got a top spot. This is rare since the series typically doesn’t come in first, even when it was the only one airing new episodes. DOOL ended up coming in the top spot for women 18-49.
The soap’s head writer is Ron Carlivati, who previously wrote for General Hospital. Ken Corday is the executive producer and Albert Alarr is co-executive producer.
General Hospital Wins Season Average
The weekly numbers are not the only thing to look at, per SoapHub. When it comes to season averages, General Hospital wins with .54. The season began on September 23, 2019. The cast and crew of the long-running ABC soap opera just resumed production recently. We will find out how those new episodes fare in the ratings in approximately a week.
Executive producer is Frank Valentini. Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor serve as the head writers of the long-running soap.

The Young and the Restless: Households for Season
When it comes to households for the entire season, The Young and the Restless got the top spot with 2.60. The soap still hasn’t returned with new episodes, but the cast and crew is back at work. A brand new episode is scheduled to air on Monday, August 10.
The popular soap is executively produced by Tony Morina. Head writer and co-executive producer is Josh Griffith.
