Steve Burton & Finola Hughes Back On General Hospital Set

The General Hospital spoilers suggest it’s been a hot minute since Anna Devane and Jason Morgan have been seen in Port Charles; however, the wait for their return won’t be too long now.

As per reports, both Finola Hughes and Steve Burton are back on the set and filming. Details on this, below.

Anna Devane & Jason Morgan Are Returning

According to a report from Soap Opera Digest (SOD), both Hughes and Burton are officially back on set and filming Jason and Anna’s (respective) comebacks.

As per a General Hospital source, Hughes has already returned and began filming, while Burton’s first day back on set to shoot scenes was Monday, June 1.

While there’s no slated date for Anna or Jason’s first appearance on canvas, fans can expect ‘Stone Cold’s’ return to occur sometime in July.

As there was no secure date regarding when Hughes began filming, she could come back to screens in July, or possibly sooner.

Both Hughes and Burton were on set this past June 1, as General Hospital’s cast and crew celebrated a huge milestone: the taping of the show’s 16,000th episode.

Anna & Jason’s Exits

Anna Devane was last seen this past February. After getting kidnapped by Pascal (Marc Forget) on Halloween 2025 and being held captive at Wyndmere, she was released in France.

Unfortunately, the Spoon Island hostage situation took a toll on Anna, and she’s been in a mental health facility since, although she has tried to escape multiple times.

With that said, local congresswoman Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) has inserted herself in this situation and had French authorities drop the charges.

Meanwhile, Jason Morgan has been off-screen since late March, taking the fall for Ross Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) shooting, to protect young Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).

Fans were aware that Burton was taking a short break from General Hospital, as he announced his hiatus in February on social media and said he’d return sometime in the summer.
