General Hospital spoilers reveal that there is some devastating news to share. Tristan Rogers, who played Robert Scorpio, has died.
It wasn’t that long ago that he came out with his cancer diagnosis. So, let’s talk about what happened to the talented actor.
Robert Scorpio’s Exit
ABC Eyewitness News reports that Tristan has passed away at 79 years of age. The man was on the ABC soap opera for decades and was a well-loved character.
Meryl Soodak, the actor’s longtime manager, confirmed the news. She explained that Rogers passed away on Friday morning after a battle with lung cancer. It was stated that he was never a smoker, making it even more tragic.

It wasn’t that long ago that Tristan announced his cancer diagnosis. Earlier this week, there were rumors that he was gone. However, that wasn’t confirmed and in actuality, the man did not die until Friday.
Fans were devastated when they learned about Tristan’s diagnosis. Now that they are finding out about his death, everyone is heartbroken.
Sasha Gilmore Corbin’s Story
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Robert left Port Charles with Holly Sutton (Emma Samms). Then, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was tormenting Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) and her baby, Daisy Gilmore Corinthos (Brenden and Evelyn Biemford). When Sasha showed up at her dad’s place with the baby, it was such a nice and sweet moment. I really loved seeing him reunited and getting to bond with the baby.
Beloved GH Actor Dead
Tristan played the role of Robert on the ABC soap opera off and on for 45 years. His manager said that Rogers’ role on GH meant “everything to him.” She added,
“He loved being Scorpio and he created that role from nothing. He was supposed to work a day and he ended up making it into something huge. He was just a genuinely loyal, kind human being and he loved his family.”
It’s not clear how the soap is going to remember Tristan and his character, Robert. Will Sasha and Daisy come back to Port Charles?
Will there be a memorial service for him and if so, who will attend? With Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) just learning about Willow tormenting Daisy and Sasha, how does Robert’s ending factor into that?

Loved Robert Scorpio Condolences to his family and friends
I will miss him, always liked Tristan Rogers, and looked forward to him coming back, in the last episode he did with Sophia and Steve he did not look so good. My sympathy to his family and castmates as well.

A much-loved and respected actor who left an indelible imprint on the hearts of every fan. We were blessed with his talent on GH for decades. I even loved him in his short-term role in Days of Our Lives. A beautiful soul, taken too soon. May his family, friends and fellow cast members take comfort in the cherished moments share throughout the years. Heaven’s stage has a new angel. We will never forget you Tristan. Be at peace.

I was a fan of Tristan Roger’s from his beginning on GH and that loyalty to Tristan Roger’s, the actor, will live on in this fan’s memory. “Robert. Ana and Robin” my own personal favorites as pertains to GH.
I cannot imagine the loss felt by his wife, children and those he held dear. Tristan Roger’s is irreplaceable. God Bless his soul, he was just the best.
