Spinelli suggested that they reconcile by meeting for New Year’s Eve, but poor Ellie was hit by a car and didn’t make it. Guess what happened next? Yep, Spin had sex with Maxie!

Imagine their chagrin when Ellie was brought to the hospital and it was feared was paralyzed! Still, she forgave the cad and Maxie.

It then got confusing when Ellie discovered that Maxie miscarried Lante’s embryo but was still pregnant– with Spinelli’s baby!

Next, Spinelli gained sole custody of his daughter and moved to Portland with Ellie, who had a job there running a hospital lab.
