Who Is Lucky Spencer On General Hospital?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Lucky Spencer is on the cusp of a major return, as actor Jonathan Jackson is set to reprise the role sometime this August.

Still, it’s been over a decade since the character has been on the show, full-time. While most viewers are excited about his return, some newer GH fans may need a history lesson when it comes to the legacy character.

General Hospital Spoilers – Lucky Spencer’s History In Port Charles

GH spoilers indicate that Lucky is the offspring of super couple Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis). While he was born off-screen, Jonathan Jackson was cast in the role at the age of 11 and entered storylines in 1993.

Jackson exited GH in 1999, and actor Jacob Young (Bold and the Beautiful’s ex-Rick Forrester) was recast into the role from 2000 to 2003.

Young left GH, Greg Vaughan (Days of Our Lives Eric Brady) would go on to play Lucky from 2003 to 2009. Later in 2009, Jonathan returned to reprise the role but would end up leaving in 2011, only to return for a brief run in 2015.

Lucky has strong ties to PC as Mayor Collin’s son, and brother to Lulu Spencer (last played by Emme Rylan) (who is currently in a coma), as well as a half-brother to Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) (who is currently in prison).

Nik and Lucky share the same mom. It’s also important for fans to remember that Aiden Webber (Tristan Riggs) is Lucky’s biological son.

GH Spoiles – Lucky Spencer’s Greatest Loves

Speaking of, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), Aiden’s mom, is Lucky’s greatest love in the little town; however, he also had some interesting romances with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) (when she was a ‘bad girl’).

Lucky also had a strong bond with Siobhan McKenna (Erin Chambers), whom he met when he was doing undercover work, posing as Irish hitman, Ronan O’Reilly.

He married the woman so she could get her green card; however, she did end up passing away at the hands of Anthony Zacchara (Bruce Weitz).

Mourning her death was the reason Lucky ended up leaving town in 2011, and while he returned to PC when he rescued Jake Webber (Hudson West) from Cassadine Island (revealing the child was in fact, alive and not dead) in 2015, the comeback was a short one.
