General Hospital Spoilers – Decades Of Sonny Corinthos On General Hospital
When Sonny first arrived on the Port Charles scene in the early 1990s, he was just a lowly strip club owner who got Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne) stripping and addicted to drugs, but when this sleazy character caught on, he became something more and is now one of the most legendary characters in GH and soap opera history.
By 1993, the soap gave Sonny a chem test with Vanessa Marcil’s Brenda Barrett, a recent high school graduate who was always looking for trouble — or finding trouble when she wasn’t looking and Sonny was her new trouble. Sonny and Brenda also truly and deeply fell in love and gave us an iconic From Here to Eternity moment on a beach in Puerto Rico on the soaps’ 1994 location shoot there.
Sonny and Brenda became a legendary couple and they even managed to marry at one point after years and years of near-misses, but of course, Sonny had to have many women in between — especially since he has so many progenies in town.

GH Spoilers – Other Contenders For Sonny Corinthos’s True Love
Some people really loved Sonny Corinthos with Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri and there was definitely something there from their teenage years, but alas she is dead. Still, the one woman Sonny has gone back to over and over has been Carly, although they can never seem to last. Perhaps this 2015 marriage of theirs has been the longest yet, but there’s major trouble in paradise right now as Sonny emerged from Nixon Falls a different man and almost reminds us of the man Sonny was when he was first with Brenda.
Of course, Carly is always there, but the new Sonny has certainly fallen for Nina Reeves despite not wanting to admit it. But is she Sonny’s one great love, found later in life? Or is it Carly? Or, has it always been Brenda Barrett all along, a character who can return at any time as long as GH and Vanessa Marcil can come to an agreement…Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see how Sonny’s love life turns out.
