It’s always been clear that Jason would put Carly above just about anyone but are we really to believe they’ve been in love all these years and nothing else with anyone else was real. It was clear that Jason was in love with Carly way back in 1999 when she slept with Sonny for the first time just to hurt him, but now GH is trying to tell us that he never stopped being in love with her.

So, how does that explain Sam McCall — the woman he loved and was with off-and-on for more than a decade. They were one another’s ride or die and the first person he tried to see when he returned to Port Charles after five years in a Russian clinic. They were also one of the most popular GH couples of this century, but GH wants us to now believe he was really in love with Carly the entire time he longed for Sam. That just doesn’t sound kosher to us because it’s not what we saw with our own eyes, despite his devotion to her.

GH Spoilers – What About Sonny Corinthos?

That one night Carly spent with Sonny in 1999 led to two decades of on-and-off romance with Sonny — as well as marriages to one another, children, and even grandchildren. But all that time Carly was really in love with Jason? While Carly and Sonny’s love never really seemed as grand as Jason and Sam’s, it still makes little sense that Jarly longed for each other for decades. You can’t force feelings down that much, no matter how much this soap tries to tell us they did.

General Hospital Spoilers – Sometimes Best Friends Should Remain Best Friends

While we are willing to believe Carly has always wanted Jason because she NEVER approved of anyone he ever wanted to be with and would make his life a living hell, we were never sure if that was because she was madly in love with him and just angry because she couldn’t have him and he wanted anyone but her. But the great love of each other’s lives? We just aren’t buying it. When they shared that kiss after deciding they’ve always been in love, it just looked like the most awkward and cringeworthy friend zone moment we’ve ever seen gone completely awry. And all we could think was “MAKE IT STOP!”
