Why Is Everyone On General Hospital So Afraid Of Cyrus?

General Hospital characters are absolutely terrified and obsessed with Cyrus Renault and sometimes we have to wonder why.

Yes, Cyrus (Jeff Kober) is the big bad mobster who never managed to take out Sonny (Maurice Benard) even though he thinks he did. He has tried and tried to drug people himself but never seems to succeed. Yes, the people that do it manage to succeed, but Cyrus can get none of his big, bad actions accomplished on his own.

In fact, Cyrus lost his mother for months — to a woman. The day we saw him reunite with Florence we saw what a little boy he still is inside and not the powerful man he so badly needs and wants to be.

General Hospital Spoilers – Laura Collins Has Cyrus Renault’s Number

It seems only Laura (Genie Francis) doesn’t fear Cyrus at all and never has. She especially hasn’t feared him since seeing him with his mother and learning he is her half-brother. She doesn’t like him, but she sure isn’t afraid of him. In fact, his ponytail and his whining don’t leave him seeming like a scary figure at all.

Not only does Laura have his number, but she also managed to trick him with a dinner invitation so that Carly (Laura Wright) could show up at the Five Families meeting and win her territory away from him. Such a scary, powerful mobster indeed.

GH Spoilers – The Women Will Get Him

Right now, it looks like when Cyrus goes down it will be because the women took charge. Ava (Maura West) is after him now too and that can never be good. Besides, when he went down the last time, it was because Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) brought him down by faking evidence. The man keeps getting outsmarted by clever women, so what are all the men so afraid of again?

Let’s see Cyrus accomplish something and become the powerful monster that can even take over Sonny’s turf and business. Let’s see him not be a crybaby because someone stole his mother when he orders to have people killed. Let’s see a bad guy and not a wimp and then we’ll finally know why everyone is so deathly afraid of the man.
