Will Drew Become The Replacement Jason — Again — On General Hospital?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Drew Cain back in Port Charles and making the rounds to let his family and friends know that reports of his death were greatly exaggerated — twice. And with reports of Jason’s death not seeming so exaggerated again, Drew (Cameron Mathison) is poised to become Jason (Steve Burton) — again — but in the same way as last time.

General Hospital Spoilers – Drew Cain Has Been Here Before

When Drew Cain first arrived on the Port Charles scene he was known as Jake Doe and was played by Billy Miller, but the audience was supposed to know he was Jason Morgan with plastic surgery and amnesia. And for a time, he lived as Jason, working for Sonny (Maurice Benard), married to Sam (Kelly Monaco), being there as Carly’s (Laura Wright) one true friend. Until Steve Burton decided he wanted to play Jason again so the new Jason Morgan became Drew Cain, Jason’s twin given up at birth who went on to become a Navy SEAL.

When the real Jason returned, Sonny and Carly dumped Drew like a cheap suit, but it took a little longer for Sam McCall to do the same. After all, they were living as man and wife by then and she had just had his baby. By the time Drew was presumed dead, Sam was back with OG Jason, and Drew was just drifting through life.

GH Spoilers – What Will Happen To Drew Now?

The writing seems on the wall that while Drew will maintain his identity as Drew, he will still be the Jason in everyone’s lives. Sam asked Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) why it’s so unfair that Scout gets her dad back when Danny loses his own and all we could think was that Drew was Danny’s dad once before when he thought he was Jason, so why not do that again?

Then, Drew dropped by the Q mansion with the traditional Thanksgiving pizza and while Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) is thrilled to see him alive, she will get the news that he’s a trade-in cause she lost Jason again.

And behind the scenes photos that Cameron Mathison has posted have him in both the Q kitchen and Sonny and Carly’s house, so it looks like Replacement Jason he will become once again. But will it work this time? Stay tuned to General Hospital to see how this story plays out.
