The actor, who is best known for his role as the reformed mob boss Julian Jerome, is saying his final good-byes in Port Charles, but that doesn’t mean this will be the last that fans will see him. Instead, this might be the beginning of a brand new chapter for the handsome actor. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital Comings and Goings
Earlier this month it was reported that both William deVry and his co-star Emme Rylan (Lulu Falconeri) would be exiting the show. The circumstances around their exit, however, remains unclear. With that said though, it doesn’t look like William is worried about his future. He shared a photo from outside of the General Hospital set and captioned his Twitter post with, “Good-Bye Yellow Brick Road and Say Good-Bye to Hollywood? Songs of the day.”
Of course, it didn’t take very long for his fans and followers to weigh in on his post. A lot of them said that while they are going to miss seeing him in Port Charles, they know that his career prospects are certainly looking bright. After all, he is one of the most talented actors in the daytime television world, right?
Many comments included, “I am so sad about this. Julian was a favorite of mine. Thanks for the fun! May you be blessed in the future and I hope I get to see you either on the big screen or the small screen,” along with, “As much as I feel like the writers ruined Julian, you did such a great job and had chemistry with every actor that you worked with. Julian was such a great character. The writers could have done so much with him. I hope you come back but if not, good luck in Hollywood.”

So far William himself has not made any comments about his next step, but watch this space. It will be no time before he begins to flex his strength and talent in the entertainment industry.

Yes we will miss William. Excellent actor. Bye GH ~ many of your originals are going and so am I as of Friday, November 6th. Get a new writer because Alexis drinking again, Anna’s sisters back in town, same old same old store lines. Good luck William. You will be greatly missed. Good bye GH. Moving on to spend my hour with a better written soap, better set designs and exciting story lines.
Yes I will desperately miss Julian, he was one of my very favorite actors on GH, also one of the best actors on the show. So disappointed in GH for letting him go. I think it was a bad move. GH just won't ever be the same.
With his departure and Emme Rylan was the last straw. Have stopped watching GH AFTER fifty years. Don’t like the moves they’ve made
I love Julian and his scenes with Ava and Alexis. I thought for sure we would get to see him be a doting grandpa to Wiley and have some joy in his life with Sam but its obviously not going to happen now..Thankyou William , your going to be missed..
He was left hanging with his storyline. No significant other for him, just his Charlie's Bar. I would have liked for him to find someone to love. He was missing that relationship factor. I'll miss seeing him looking after Ava.
