William Lipton’s Return To General Hospital – Reprising Cameron Webber For The Holidays

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint an old fan favorite will soon be returning home for the holidays. According to TV Insider, William Lipton is coming back to the soap, reprising his role as Cameron Webber. His first airdate has been revealed, so GH viewers should set their PVRs to Wednesday, December 18.

General Hospital Spoilers – More On William Lipton’s Return To GH

Lipton recently told TV Insider that this return has been in the works for a number of months and was officially “on” after a text message from both GH’s Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, and Casting Director, Mark Teschner. The two inquired about Lipton’s availability, and the actor stated he was “super stoked” to receive the message.

Lipton reveals one of the best parts of this GH comeback was reconnecting with former cast members he’s grown so close to over the years.

He goes on to state he was able to catch up with Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks) and Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Baldwin), and notes he got a “… really big, warm hug” from his onscreen mom.

But what should fans expect from his return? Lipton states that Cameron will explore Port Charles a bit and run into a few people he’s known from the past; however, the reason for his visit is to see his family and celebrate the holidays.

GH Spoilers – Williiam Lipton Has Had Quite A Year

Lipton has had quite the year, as it was announced in February 2024 that he would be starring in a new Amazon series, called ‘The Runarounds’.

The show was ordered with eight episodes and filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina, where the story takes place. Lipton has stated the gig was a ‘dream come true’ which not only showcases his acting, but his music skills, too.

Lipton first joined GH in 2018, playing Nurse Liz’s teenage eldest son, who ended up falling in love with Josslyn but also forged a nice friendship with her bestie, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

He left his hometown in 2023, to attend Stanford University on a scholarship, and as Joss moved on with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) there was really nothing holding him back.

Now that Dex has passed on, could sparks fly between him and Joss again? Only time will tell!
