A Christmas Less Traveled coming to Great American Family
After departing from Hallmark Channel, where she used to be the Queen of Christmas, Candace Cameron Bure is looking to get her title back. Since her move to Great American Family, the former Full House star has worn several hats. These include her title as Chief Creative Officer, curating content for her like-minded views.
Meanwhile, her latest holiday movie, A Christmas Less Traveled, filmed earlier in the summer, will premiere on Great American Family soon.
What is the movie about?
Desi (Bure) is the owner of the Dine and Dash diner and has a stack of unpaid bills, forcing her to sell “Old Red” the beloved, mint-condition 1964 Ford F-100. This is no easy task as her late father gifted her the vintage truck.
Desi visits her beloved truck one last time and finds a recorded message from her father on an old audio cassette. Her dad’s voice sends her and Old Red out to retrace her family’s most memorable moments one last time.
However, as her journey begins, Desi meets Greyson (Eric Johnson), who offers her a generous payment in exchange for a ride in the truck to close the most important deal of his life. Meanwhile, Desi and Greyson realize that the road less traveled would reveal more about them than they could have ever dreamed.
Bill Abbott, President & CEO of Great American Media said of the holiday movie:
Filmmakers have been inspired by road trips for as long as movies have been made. In A Christmas Less Traveled, viewers will go on a scenic journey with our characters to celebrate Christmas in communities and with acquaintances, treasuring every heartfelt moment of discovery or remembrance in a vintage vehicle that seems to magically know all the right places to stop.
Where have you seen the cast before?

Eric Johnson (Grayson) is likely best known for his role as a corrupt sheriff on Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. He has also starred in Rookie Blue, Fifty Shades Freed, Orphan Black, and American Gods.
