Great American Family has announced the new, original movie, Grounded, starring Danica McKellar and Trevor Donovan. The movie is adapted from the bestselling novel of the same title by Angela Correll and is set to premiere in the spring of 2025. New movie Grounded to premiere on Great American Family

According to the press release, Annie (McKellar) is a career flight attendant who loves her job and traveling the world. However, her career is dealt a blow when an airline merger causes her to be furloughed. Moreover, matters get worse as she breaks up with a selfish boyfriend.

Looking for a reprieve, Annie drives from Manhattan to her grandmother’s farm in Kentucky. After several character-building days, life on the farm ultimately brings Annie unexpected blessings in the form of rediscovering her faith. Moreover, she reconnects with her handsome childhood friend, Jake (Donovan). It turns out he has just moved back from the big city himself, looking for a more grounded life.

Where have you seen the cast before?

Danica McKellar, who plays the role of Annie, has previously starred in A Cinderella Christmas Ball and Swing Into Romance. She leads opposite Trevor Donovan, who is known for his roles in Jingle Bell Princess and Harvest Homecoming.

So far, no other cast members have been announced, but the movie is adapted from the bestselling novel Grounded by Angela Correll, and written for the screen by Andrea Canning (Dateline, Love On The Danube), Alex Wright and Cara J. Russell.

When does Grounded premiere on Great American Family?

While no official date has been announced, Grounded will enjoy its World Premiere in the spring of 2025.
