Recently, new Great American Family star Alexa PenaVega updated her fans on Instagram about their recent tragic loss. The heartbreaking news related to the loss of Alexa and Carlos’ baby girl in April. She opened up to let them know how she and her family have been coping since losing Indy, who was stillborn.

Alexa PenaVega shared a heartbreaking video on her Instagram, where she almost broke down at times, while thanking her followers for all their prayers. This comes after she and her husband Carlos announced that their fourth child, a baby girl, had died during birth.
In her caption, Alexa wrote, “Love you all. Wanted to give everyone an update and thank you all for your kind words and encouraging prayers. They have meant so much to us.”
“So I just want to say, first off that we’re doing well,” the former Hallmark star added. “We’re actually doing really well, considering everything.”

“You know this season, obviously is the most traumatic thing that we’ve ever had to go through as a family, let alone I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything quite like this. And I hope to never ever have to experience anything like this again,” she said. “But it’s been really incredible to see how God has just moved through our family during this time. We have obviously felt a lot of pain. A lot of pain. But also, an insane amount of peace,” closing by saying:
God has really met us in this place between pain and peace. It really doesn’t make any sense other than it is His supernatural peace, that is just covering us and allowing us to still go through grief and to still, you know, walk through this valley, but not alone. And not without purpose.
Alexa’s health declined after losing their daughter
Meanwhile, the new Great American Pure Flix actress opened up to let fans know her own health declined a lot and that nobody could figure out what was wrong with her.

“But I don’t think I’ve ever surrendered in this way to God in my life,” PenaVega said. “Like you think, ‘God, I’m gonna surrender. I’m gonna surrender. I’m gonna surrender.’ But until you get to this point, you don’t even realize the type of surrender that you’re capable of.”
PenaVega explained that Indy’s short life has transformed them completely. She said their family has never been stronger and her faith and marriage have never been stronger.
At this point in the video Alexa gets very emotional, breaking down in tears. She explained how their baby girl’s “life was so purposeful in just that short little bit that we had with her. And while she may not have taken a breath here on earth, she did not go without purpose.”

The Great American Family stars have been together since 2012 and were married in 2014. Alexa and Carlos have since become parents to two sons, Ocean and Kingston, and a daughter, Rio.
The couple has starred together on several Hallmark movies in the past. Meanwhile, fans will get to see the PenaVegas in a new movie on Great American Pure Flix titled Mr. Manhattan that premieres on May 24.
