A Nashville Legacy on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Filmed on location at the National Museum of African American Music, in Nashville, Tennessee, A Nashville Legacy is a worthy musical watch. The movie stars Andrea Lewis, Pooch Hall, Roz Ryan and Stan Shaw. Moreover, it features Tamara Chauniece, Kasi Jones and Stacy Johnson of the world-renowned vocal group, The Shindellas. It also includes cameos from musical artists Curt Chambers and Ruben Studdard.

According to the official synopsis, Naima (Andrea Lewis), got her love of music from her late grandmother. She decides to move to Nashville to intern at a prestigious museum while pursuing a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology.

While at the museum, she meets Damian (Pooch Hall), a volunteer and music producer. While she immediately feels chemistry she is focused on her work and on seeking a subject for her dissertation.  Fortunately, while looking into the backstory of some donated items, a beautiful vintage dress leads Naima to uncover a mystery surrounding a classic hit and the perfect dissertation focus.

Meanwhile, as Naima and Damian develop a friendship, he works with her to investigate the secret surrounding the dress. However, they soon find that the truth hits closer to home than either of them realized.

The secret, which just might involve a prominent music producer, also threatens to make waves in the local community and in Naima and Damian’s budding romance. While her romance and her new job are at risk, she must decide if she will keep the decades-long secret, or finally let the truth come to light.

Andrea Lewis, who plays Naima, has previously been seen in Degrassi: The Next Generation. Meanwhile, Pooch Hall, who plays Damian, is known for his role in The Game. Roz Ryan has previously starred in Hercules, while Stan Shaw, who plays Franklin Berryhall has been seen in The Family Business.

According to the official IMDb page, Ashley Forrester plays Bianca, Kevin Wayne plays Tubby and Debra Lynn Rogers Welborn plays Phyllis Berryhall. The role of Bianca is played by Ashley Forrestier while Cynethia McClendon plays Young Millie. Moreover, Lester Milligan plays a museum patron, while Matthew Montemaro features in the role of Clark Sullivan.
