A Taste of Romance: Sneak Peek at Hallmark’s “Love In The Clouds”

Hallmark Channel spoilers and updates reveal in the network’s newest film, Love in the Clouds, a woman discovers romance with a hot air balloon pilot.

What’s The Movie About?

Brooklyn (McKenzie), a reporter from Seattle, travels to New Mexico for the Balloon Fiesta, a vibrant hot air balloon festival, to cover the event.

While there, she plans to interview Jared (Paul Greene), a hot air balloon pilot played by Paul Greene, who offers romantic rides but is himself closed off to love.

Is the Balloon Fiesta a real event-yes, it absolutely is; The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta showcases a range of activities such as Dawn Patrol, Morning Glow, and mass ascensions. This year’s festivities are scheduled for early October.

Established in 1972 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of 770 KOB Radio, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta started with just 13 balloons and a whimsical Roadrunner-Coyote balloon race.

Over the years, it has evolved into a spectacular event, drawing in hundreds of thousands of visitors and participants annually; “Love In The Clouds” was filmed on location in and around Albuquerque.

Meet The Cast-Paul Greene

Paul Greene, known for his role as Dr. Carson Shepard on Hallmark Channel’s beloved series When Calls the Heart, has captivated audiences for several seasons. He also appeared in the network’s films Christmas CEO and Christmas in Angel Falls.

Previously, he starred alongside Amanda Kloots in CBS’s Fit for Christmas and shared the screen with Gladys Knight and Jessica Lowndes in I’m Glad It’s Christmas for Great American Family.

Most recently, he featured alongside Jill Wagner in Bringing Christmas Home, also for Great American Family.

Meet The Cast-McKenzie Westmore And Gail O’Grady

McKenzie Westmore, who plays Brooklyn, is widely recognized for portraying Sheridan Crane in the soap opera Passions.

Additionally, she hosted the SYFY reality competition Face Off and has made appearances in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Picard, and Miss Match.

On the other hand, Gail O’Grady, known for her character Jane, gained fame through her performances in NYPD Blue and American Dreams.

She has also taken on roles in Hellcats, Boston Legal, and Desperate Housewives, and was featured in the Hallmark Channel movie All I Want for Christmas. Gail had a recurring role as Steve Grayson in the ABC drama “Revenge” as well.

Meet The Cast-Lorenzo Lamas

Lamas achieved fame through his iconic role in Falcon Crest and later took the lead in the series Renegade, and appeared in Big Time Rush alongside Carlos PenaVega, one of the band members.

Additionally, he had a role in the classic film Grease with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John; more recently, he has been featured in Sharknado3, American Dad! and Jane the Virgin.

In Love in the Clouds, he portrays a retired Tae Kwon Do instructor, a role that resonates with his real-life status as a third-degree black belt in the martial art.

The cast also includes Alexis Zollicoffer as Elise, Je’Maya Jackson as a festival worker, Josh Horton as a young man, Shaquille Mathurin as Guy. Catherine Copestone appears as Mary, Koppany Pusztai as Carlos, Christen Hernandez as Amber, Joanne Marie as a store customer, and Justin Peach as a tourist.

When And Where Can I See The Movie?

Catch the premiere of Love in the Clouds on Saturday, May 10 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel, with additional airings on Sunday, May 11 at 7 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, May 14 at 8 p.m. EDT, Saturday, May 24 at 10 p.m. EDT, and Tuesday, June 24 at 4 p.m. EDT. With this many showings, you should be able to find a time that will accommodate your viewing schedule.
