My Christmas Guide on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

According to the official synopsis, Trevor (Mehl) is a college literature professor who has recently and suddenly lost his sight. The single dad to a daughter, Annie (Ava Weiss), Trevor is badly shaken and is barely hanging on.

To make life even more difficult, a new construction project at his college poses everyday dangers to Trevor. Meanwhile, the head of his department worries about his safety and suggests that he take some time off until the project is complete.

Trevor’s daughter, Annie, is concerned for her dad and convinces him to visit Best Friend Dog Guides, a center that trains seeing-eye dogs for the vision impaired. There they meet Peyton (Marshall), who introduces them to the perfect guide dog, Max.

As Peyton trains Trevor with Max, the two bond, while the college professor regains his old self-confidence. However, when Trevor is finally forced to take leave from his department due to the dangerous construction conditions, his faith and trust in Max is truly tested.

Moreover, he must step outside of his comfort zone and let go of everything he is familiar with and turn his support to those around him, including Peyton in the hopes of restoring his confidence in his abilities.
