Hallmark Channel has just announced a new, original movie, Love In the Great Smoky Mountains: A National Park Romance which is set to premiere during the network’s annual Fall into Love programming event. Love In the Great Smoky Mountains: A National Park Romance on Hallmark Channel

According to the official synopsis, Haley (Arielle Kebbel) and Rob (Zach Roerig) are former high school sweethearts. They bump into each other while at an excavation site for an archeological research team, working in the field in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Meanwhile, Rob immediately tries to reconnect with Haley to rekindle their romance. However, Haley can’t get past Rob’s betrayal.

It seems that during their senior year, Haley applied for a research grant that was awarded to Rob instead of her. The couple hasn’t spoken since, but Haley is determined to remain professional as she and Rob work together at the exciting excavation site. Despite this, Haley and Rob do eventually reconnect over their shared love of nature and history. They go on to spend time together exploring the park.

Haley discovers pictographs in a cave that could lead to the existence of a mythical Cherokee diamond. At this point, Rob struggles to keep up with her adventurous nature. To make matters worse, Haley and Rob find out they are once again competing for the same research grant.

Meanwhile, the pair continues to work together and finally discover the cave. However, at this point, they slowly begin to realize that the journey is possibly more important than the destination. In fact, they find out that love is more valuable than any research grant.
