Falling Together is set to premiere on Hallmark Channel and relates to the battle with Alzheimer’s. Ashley Williams has written personal essays for People and Medium on her own mother’s battle with Alzheimer’s and serves as executive producer with her husband, Neal Dodson. Meanwhile, Ashley leads the movie with Paul Campbell.

According to a press release from Futon Critic, moving to a new city leads a woman to find fellowship and community through the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Natalie Calder (Williams) relocated to Pittsburgh for work and is eager to become part of her new town. While exploring her surroundings, she finds the perfect opportunity for involvement as she joins the Walk to End Alzheimer’s as a volunteer.

However, at her home, Natalie’s efforts to bring the building’s residents as a community have fallen flat. Meanwhile, Mark (Campbell), the prickly super, advises her to leave well enough alone. As the couple spends time together, Natalie continues her quest to win over the neighbors and as they spend time together, she and Mark become close and the spark begins to grow.

However, just when it seems the building’s harmony has been restored, things unexpectedly unravel. Feeling disheartened, Natalie focuses her time and energy on the Walk, which just might be the path to healing and happily ever after.

Where have you seen the cast before?

Ashley Williams stars as Natalie Calder and has previously starred in Notes of Autumn and Five More Minutes: Moments Like These. Meanwhile, Paul Campbell, who stars as Mark Wallace is known for his roles in Magic in Mistletoe and Three Wise Men and a Baby.

According to the movie’s IMDb page, Rryla McIntosh plays Drea, Paul McGillion plays Tobias and Linda Kash has the role of Linda Payne. Moreover, Amy Goodmurphy plays Liz, Hrothgar Mathews plays Jimmy Wallace and Denalda Williams stars as Sylvia. 

The role of Hector is played by Paul Moniz de Sa, while Nisreen Slim plays the role of Mira. Meanwhile, Jake Guy plays Chuck and Angela Nisheeta stars as Shanti.

Behind the scenes of Falling Together

Williams has written personal essays for People and Medium about her own mother’s battle with Alzheimer’s and serves as an executive producer together with her husband Neal Dodson (Love, Classified).

She and her family have a longtime relationship with the Alzheimer’s Association, from when they were navigating their mother’s illness, they have been active in the cause, with Williams serving as emcee for the Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Moreover, Ashley hosts the Dance Party to End ALZ each year with her family.

Ashley explained that when she first moved to Manhattan a few years ago, she threw a “chili party” for everyone in the apartment building and no one came. However, once she got over the shame, she thought “Maybe there’s a rom-com here, adding:

Turns out this was the perfect leaping off point to reunite with my dear friend Paul Campbell in a hilarious, warm, comedy amongst the autumn leaves. The Alzheimer’s Association was instrumental in providing resources for our family when my mother was ill, and getting to tell this story with their support is something I’m really proud of.

When will Falling Together premiere on Hallmark Channel?

The new, original movie Falling Together premieres on World Alzheimer’s Day, Saturday, September 21 at 8 pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s annual Fall into Love programming event.
