Chesapeake Shores Final Season Premiere Date Released

Hallmark Channel has chosen to cancel Chesapeake Shores after six seasons. Season 6 will premiere on August 14, 2022. This is the final season of the show and fans will certainly miss it. Here is what we know about this season so far.

Chesapeake Shores – The Final Season

Season Six of Chesapeake Shores will premiere on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The last season will consist of 10 episodes that center around the O’Brien family. Meghan Ory (Abby O’Brien), Treat Williams (Mick O’Brien), Barbara Niven (Megan O’Brien), Robert Buckley (Evan Kincaid), Laci J. Mailey (Jess O’Brien), and Andrew Francis (Connor O’Brien) will return to star in the final season. The last season will wrap up the story of the O’Brien family from a town called Chesapeake Bay and is based on a series of books by Sherryl Woods.

If fans want to catch up by rewatching the first five seasons, they are available for streaming on Hallmark Movies Now. Hallmark announced in late March that the show was renewed for the final season. Hallmark explains why they chose to end the show, “We are so proud of Chesapeake Shores, a show that has captured imaginations and was reaching a natural conclusion, and we decided to wrap up the show on a high note in the sixth and final season.”

Chesapeake Shores – The Cast Speaks Out About The Final Season

Chesapeake Shore may be ending but the cast promises there is a lot to look forward to in the last ten episodes of the popular series. Williams has promises from the renewal announcement that this season will be special. Niven announced that her last scenes as Megan were taped on June 24. “It’s so hard to say goodbye to this character, this family, and to all of you who have watched and made it possible for these past six years of filming, THANK YOU for being part of the O’Brien family,” Niven posted on her Instagram after wrapping up her scenes. Emily Ullerup and Laci J. Mailey shared similar sentiments as well.

Chesapeake Shore – Fans’ Questions From Season Five Are Answered

Chesapeake Shore Season Six will answer the burning questions left in the Season Five finally that had fans questioning a new season. However, some fans had hoped that Jesse Metcalfe (Trace Riley) might return for the series finale. Nothing has been announced about this matter if it is happening. With Abby having a new love interest, perhaps the network executives didn’t see it necessary to have Jesse there. Fans are sentimental about these things and would love for Trace and Abby to ride off into the sunset together.

Fans of Chesapeake Shores have enjoyed being a part of the O’Brien Family for the past five seasons. Season six will certainly be emotional for everyone including the fans.
