As part of Hallmark’s Miracles of Christmas, A Dance In The Snow tells the story of a mother and daughter who both try to bring joy to each other.

A Dance In The Snow on Hallmark Mystery

According to TV Insider, the Hallmark Mystery movie tells the story of Melanie’s (Erica Cerra) 17-year-old autistic daughter, Jenny (Vanessa Burghardt), is a senior in high school and is looking forward to college. However, after a bad experience in her junior year, Jenny doesn’t want to attend her final Christmas dance before graduating.

However, Melanie has a plan to surprise her daughter. She joins the school’s planning committee to create an inclusive dance that all students can participate in. Jenny’s mom wants to correct the problems from the last disaster that have Jenny shying away from attending her final high school Christmas party. 

Melanie’s plan is to create a welcoming dance for all students. However, it turns out Jenny has plans on her own, and she and her friends create a secret party to honor her mom. Meanwhile, Melanie suspects that Jenny is keeping something from her, which she fears is about something bad.

She works with Jenny’s literature teacher and starts to fall for him, while Jenny develops something special with a new classmate at school. This leads to both mother and daughter being caught up in their own romances, which leads to their communication becoming fuzzy.

Meanwhile, as their secrets start to snowball, their plans start to drive a wedge between the usually tight-knit mother and daughter on the holidays.

Erica Cerra, who plays the role of Melanie, is known for her roles in Power Rangers and Warehouse 13. Mark Ghanimé plays Daniel and has previously starred in Christmas With a View and The Age of Adalina. Vanessa Burghardt plays the role of Jenny, and has previously starred in Cha Cha Real Smooth and The Breakfast Club Live!

Meanwhile, Dorian Giordano who plays the role of Will is known for his roles in Reacher and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Jennifer Baker, who plays Hilary, has previously starred in The Handmaid’s Tale and Suits.

Tyson Kirk, who plays Jake, is known for his roles in Clarice and Coming Distractions and Liam McCord, who plays Liam, has previously starred in Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum. The role of Caitlin is played by Juliana Paul who is known for her roles in Warehouse 13 and Finding ODO.

When does A Dance In The Snow premiere on Hallmark Mystery?

The new, original holiday movie A Dance In The Snow premieres on Thursday, December 5, at 8 pm ET on Hallmark Mystery. Moreover, the movie will stream on Peacock up to 72 hours after the premiere.
