A former Hallmark star hasn’t been seen on the feel-good channel for quite some time. However, after she dropped a hint on social media, it looks like Lisa Durupt is officially back. Her post on Instagram came at a time when Cameron Mathison and Alison Sweeney are filming their new Hannah Swensen movie, leading fans to think Lisa might be starring again. However, neither Hallmark Channel nor the movie’s stars have given a hint at what is happening.
Is Lisa Durupt returning to Hallmark Channel?
Former Hallmark star Lisa Durupt has hinted on social media of a return to the feel-good network. This comes after a long absence from Hallmark, where she starred in many movies, including the Murder She Baked movie series. In her post, Lisa has her fans excited and believing she is once again involved in a new project.
As Durupt’s post comes at a time when Alison Sweeney and Cameron Mathison are filming a new Hannah Swensen movie. However, at this time, neither Hallmark nor the two lead stars has mentioned the returning actress.
However, the rumors started when Lisa shared an image on Instagram of herself in a trailer, where she is presumably working on a new TV project. Moreover, she captioned the post, “Just when you think you get a break…. They put baby wipes in your trailer.” Meanwhile, it was her hashtags that got her fans hoping, namely: “#workingmomlife #actor #hallmark #romanceuniversity #returningstudent.”
Will Lisa Durupt return to Hannah Swensen Mysteries?
While nothing official has been confirmed, Alison Sweeney responded to Durupt’s post with a laughing and crying emoji. This definitely made fans believe that she is returning as Hannah’s sister, Andrea, in the new Hannah Swensen movie that is currently filming.
Meanwhile, Lisa hasn’t starred in one of the movies since Hallmark changed their name from “Murder She Baked.” One fan directly asked Durupt, commenting, “I have a question for you, Lisa, will you be joining the Hannah Swensen movies again? I ask because you are missed! There is such a great dynamic between you and Allison as sisters in those movies. Just thought I’d ask.”
Another follower commented, “You must go back to Hannah Swensen mysteries. Still good but you brought so much to the show.”
In the meantime, Durupt has kept busy and according to IMDb, she stars in How To Murder Your Husband with Cybill Shepherd. She also starred in 13 episodes of Heartland in 2021.
Lisa was also in the Hallmark movie, Time for Them to Come Home for Christmas in 2021 where she starred with Brendan Penny and Jessy Schram. This means she has only been absent from Hallmark for around two years.
