Giada De Laurentiis Executive Produces First Hallmark Project

Giada De LaurentiisFood Network’s “Everyday Italian” fame Giada De Laurentiis has confirmed in a statement she’s executive producing her first film for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries titled “Always Amore.”

New York Times best-selling author and celebrity chef Giada is continuing her family’s legacy in film-making with her grandfather Agostino “Dino” De Laurentiis hailed as one of Hollywood’s most successful producers and is famed for bringing Italian cinema to the mainstream with over 38 films nominated for Academy Awards.

Talking about the De Laurentiis’s deep history in cinema and Italian culture, the “Simply Giada” and Emmy-winning TV host revealed in a statement: “It has been a dream of mine to take my love of film and food to Executive Produce a Hallmark movie that authentically honors my amazing Italian heritage.”

Lisa Hamilton Daly, EVP Programming commented on Giada’s partnership with Hallmark, highlighting her expertise in film and food she said: “Partnering with someone of Giada De Laurentiis’ caliber, with her extensive and authentic knowledge of film and food, makes for the perfect union.”

Hallmark ‘Always Amore’ Storyline Is Revealed

Deadline reported that Giada’s upcoming movie with Hallmark Channel already started its production which is planned to air in spring this year.

The new film stars “The Wedding Veil” actress Autumn Reeser opposite to “An Unexpected Christmas” actor Tyler Hynes and is joined with the Oscar-nominated star Patty McCormack.

Reeser plays a widowed Italian restaurant owner Elizabeth who attempts to keep her deceased husband’s business afloat, together with her mother-in-law Nonna (Patty McCormack). Hynes as the restaurant consultant Ben comes to the rescue. At first, Elizabeth is adamant about the changes proposed by Ben but business progress is made which makes her see it’s not bad to welcome changes in her life. While she rediscovers her passion for baking, romantic emotions also grow in her heart.

The culinary icon Giada De Laurentiis has been throwing a lifeline to her fans who need to brainstorm for meal ideas ever since she launched her new series with Discovery’s Food Network “Simply Giada” last January.

The celebrity chef shares recipes that give the viewers healthy options to eat better every day and offers expert advice for smart menu planning.

“I’m excited to share all of the new projects I’ve been working on with viewers. Get ready for more adventure, fun…and pasta, of course!” she previously said in a statement.

Her latest recipe was Beef Pops as an appetizer for the “Super Bowl” which is likened to a kebab and needed skewers for serving.
