Gilded Newport Mysteries: Murder at the Breakers on Hallmark
According to the official synopsis, it’s July 1895, and the elite of New York are in Newport, Rhode Island to enjoy a summer of balls, garden parties, and yacht races. Meanwhile, Emma Vanderbilt-Cross (Skovbye), is a fearless 21-year-old writer with family ties to the wealthy Vanderbilt family.
However, writing her usual articles about food and fashion for the women’s pages of the Newport Observer is the last thing on Emma’s mind. Her half-brother, Brady Cross (James Drew Dean) has been arrested for the murder of Goddard (Cesare Scarpone), the long-time Vanderbilt business advisor.

Emma takes matters into her own hands and sets out to prove her half-brother’s innocence. However, along the way, she discovers that Goddard had more than his fair share of enemies. As Emma investigates with the help of police detective and crush, Jesse Whyte (Griffin), housekeeper Nanny O’Neal (Gilliam Barber) and coroner’s assistant, Harriet Rice (Amira Anderson) she finds herself in a world of danger and intrigue.
Meanwhile, she is also attracting the attention of the town’s mysterious new stranger (Witte). As the fearless writer gets closer to the truth, Goddard’s true killer goes on the offensive. They will stop at nothing to keep their identity a secret.

Ali Skovbye leads as Emma Vanderbilt-Cross and is known for her role in Firefly Lane. Meanwhile, her half-brother Brady Cross is played by James Drew Dean of Marry Go Round fame. Danny Griffin stars as Jesse Whyte and has previously been seen in Fate: The Winx Saga). The role of the mysterious stranger is played by Nathan Witte, who has previously starred in Cut, Color, Murder.

The role of murder victim Goddard is played by Cesare Scarpone, previously seen in The Bold Type, Amira Anderson plays the role of the coroner’s assistant Harriet Rice and is known for her role in Foragers. Meanwhile, Gillian Barber of Chesapeake Shores fame plays the role of housekeeper Nanny O’Neal.

The new Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film, Gilded Newport Mysteries: Murder at the Breakers, hails from Newport Road Productions Ltd. and Front Street Pictures, Inc.
Executive producers are John Cassini, Sunta Izzipcupo, Allen Lewis, James Walsh and Michael Shepard, while Charles Cooper serves as a producer. The movie is directed by Terry Ingram from a script penned by Keri Ferencz, based on the book series by Alyssa Maxwell.
