George, Cassie, Abby, and Joy discuss what the latest clue means. They cannot figure it out. All they know is they need to find the second amulet. Later, Sam and Cassie talk. He is nervous about returning to work. Meanwhile, Martha and Tom are celebrated their anniversary. Martha promises a great gift of all gifts.

Donovan and Abby meet at the cafe. He surprises her with the news that he wants to take on a vacant senate seat. He brings up moving to Springfield. Across town, Joy meets up with Taylor. They talk about meeting up later for coffee.

Martha heads to see Cassie at her shop. She needs the best of the best anniversary gift. Later that night, George and the girls meet after Cassie secures blueprints of the Middleton Exchange. They light candles, casting a spell to try and locate the amulet.

Abby visits Martha and sees she has been buying flowers from her competitor. Abby is insulted by this. At the cafe, Stephanie works hard to bake for Martha when Adam arrives. She gets him to help her. They laugh when Martha calls to check-in. Abby gets an offer for her shop from her competition and it is less than the offer before.

Sam is back at work and very involved with several patients when Cassie visits him. He can’t get out of work. She looks sad but heads to meet Martha and Tom and the others for their anniversary party. Martha has some small events planned for them all. Off to the great room, she tells them.

In the great room, Cassie and Donovan’s mom pair up. Everyone must put sentences together out of a number of blocks with words on them. After, Donovan and Abby work to build a tower out of cupcakes. Adam and Stephanie pair up on the same task. They beat Abby and Donovan, advancing to a cake decorator round. Cassie and the other groups get stuck on their towers, spilling cupcakes all over the floor. Sam arrives and heads upstairs, too busy to join in on the phone. Cassie gets upset.

Abby and Donovan talk with his mother in between rounds. He shares how he and Abby may move. His mom shares how she and his dad are growing apart. Meanwhile, Tom and Martha begin the last task, flower arranging.

Stephanie talks to Adam about a cooking class she wants to take. It is a French class. She needs to write an essay but has no idea what to write. He encourages her. The couples all finish their talks. After, Joy unveils the new look of the cafe. They all clap and enjoy champagne. George and his date are behind, still decorating their cake. After they finish, she asks George to go steady. He is thrilled.

Cassie confronts Sam. He broke his promise about attending the party and he is working too much. He is annoyed. Later, Joy meets with Taylor, telling her about her past. Taylor is understanding.

Donovan tells Abby they will make both their careers work. At the inn, George and the ladies discover the red moon will make them all fade away. Stephanie and Adam sit and track the cake she sent to Paris. They kiss. Cassie goes to bed without Sam.
