Good Witch Spoilers & Recap 07/18/21: Season 7 Episode 9 “The Search”

In tonight’s Good Witch episode, two young witches are given necklaces to ward off the red halo moon. One of the sisters gives her necklace to the other when she becomes older as she is running off with her love and doesn’t want their mother to find them. Joy wakes from the dream and tears into a wall. She finds a door. In the morning, she shows Cassie and Abby a secret room in the Inn. Cassie never knew it was there. Joy thinks they need to search the Inn top to bottom.

Sam finds George, Abby and Joy trying to open a cryptex they found. They discuss how he and Cassie aren’t getting along. They aren’t on the same page. They all encourage Sam to talk to her. He heads off to work fast. At the hospital he talks to Tom who hasn’t told Martha he has to have surgery. Meanwhile, Joy yells Martha she has a feeling Tom is keeping something from her.

Stephanie confesses to George she almost kissed Adam after the dance. She could be going to Paris so she isn’t sure what to do. Adam tells Sam at the hospital that he is overdoing it. After, he books Abby and Donovan’s wedding. Abby can feel he wants to kiss Stephanie. They are both dumbfounded. She had to blurt it out, she is weirdly connected to others today.

In an effort to help Cassie, Sam invites the gang to the Inn to help solve the case of the red halo moon. He and Cassie talk on the side, getting back on the same page. Stephanie learns she is going to Paris while talking to Adam about the almost-kiss they shared. In the other room, Donovan learns from his parents that they have been separate for two months.

Trish shows up at the Inn. George gives her and Joy their privacy and heads to help find the amulet. Joy admits she is a witch. Meanwhile, Martha confronts Tom about his secret.

George comforts Joy, telling her that if Trish cannot except her she doesn’t deserve her. Several rooms away at the Inn, Martha gives Stephanie advice that what is meant to be will be as Stephanie shares she wants to be with Adam and go to France.

While venting about his parents, Donovan stumbles upon a clue concerning the amulet. They head to tell the others, coming upon Joy who is talking to Trish. She has come back. After playing notes on his violin a stair pops open, showing them a book. In the midst of it all Donovan’s parents get into a fight. His dad leaves.

Sam and Trish talk about her discovering Joy and the other are witches. He is calm, she notices when this is all big news. Meanwhile, George and Stephanie talk about her cafe and Adam. They plan to help her while she is gone.

Cassie discovers a journal that shares the amulet has been destroyed. They almost give up until Joy discovers an orb in the fireplace she locates after finding a recording from her great grandmother. Meanwhile, Cassie continues to talk to family members from her past. When she shares she wants to give up, her mother’s ghost comforts her, telling her she won’t give up.

Abby tells Donovan they should elope. He agrees. Cassie watches her parents make muffins in the kitchen. She wishes they could have met Grace before they died. She misses them. Sam comes in, interrupting her. He hugs her.

While latching the hope chest, Joy discovers the amulet has been there all along but it could be too late as the witches fall ill. The others try to help them.
