Hallmark Actress Alicia Witt’s Parents Found Dead

Hallmark’s Alicia Witt says “the outcome was unimaginable.” The actress is speaking of her parents being discovered dead in their Massachusetts home. Here is what we know.

Hallmark Channel – Alicia Witt Has Lost Both Parentsause

The popular Hallmark actress’ parents, Robert Witt, 87, and Diane Witt, 75 bodies were discovered in their home just days before the holidays on December 20. Witt states that “I reached out to a cousin who lives close to my parents to check on them. Sadly, the outcome was unimaginable. I ask for some privacy at this time to grieve and to wrap my head around this turn of events, and this surreal loss.”

Witt said she asked a family member to check on her parents because she hadn’t heard from them in several days. Witt didn’t live close to her parents because of work so her only contact was the telephone unless she was visiting. Witt’s cousin called the police for assistance since the couple hadn’t been heard from in days and when the police arrived they found the dead bodies in their home. The police did not release a cause of death but did state that there was no trauma to the bodies.

Hallmark Channel – Cause Of Death Awaits Further Testing

The local fire department visited the home to test for carbon monoxide poisoning but those results were negative adding further to the mystery of their deaths. Both bodies have been sent for autopsies to determine the cause of death. Alicia credits her mother for her career in show business.

The Hallmark actress was discovered when she was five by the producer of “That’s Incredible.” Alicia stated in September how her mother was instrumental in her discovery and she was offered a role two years later when the casting director for Dune was searching for someone to play the role of Alia. The rest she says was serendipity.

Hallmark Channel – Alicia Witt Is A Popular Actress

The Hallmark star was born in Massachusetts is now an actress and singer, known for her roles in Cybill, Mr. Holland’s Opus, Two Weeks Notice, Friday Night Lights, The Walking Dead, Nashville, Twin Peaks, The Exorcist, Orange Is the New Black and a long list of Hallmark Channel movies.

During the 1980s, Alicia had been a Guinness World Record holder for her hair, which was over 10-feet long. She is also a classically trained pianist and recording artist whose latest album “The Conduit” was released in the fall. Alicia’s parents also made a Cameo appearance in Christmas On Honeysuckle Lane in 2018.
