Candace Cameron Bure has come a long way since starring in Full House and joining the Hallmark Channel. Being a celebrity means having to handle stardom, but also to battle criticism from fans, especially on social media. The Fuller House star has opened up on how she has handled the situation over the years.
Hallmark News – Actress Candace Cameron Bure Opens Up
Candace Cameron Bure, 45, appeared in the Sunday, August 22, episode of the Whine Down with Jana Kramer podcast. On the show, she opened up about handling negativity and criticism, especially from fans. She said, “Honestly, I feel like that’s just part of my God-given nature.”
Candace said that maybe the fact that she had children in her 20s helped the situation. She said God gave her a lot of patience and that is being tested all the time. However, while Cameron Bure has had a lot of time to practice her patience, she says it isn’t great at it every day.
Hallmark News – Reaction To TikTok Video
The Hallmark star also spoke about how she feels about taking ownership for past mistakes. This is especially so after fans had a strong reaction to her “power of the Holy Spirit” TikTok video she posted last month. Candace admitted that she does enjoy apologizing. Meanwhile, she also likes receiving an apology if someone is wrong. Speaking of the TikTok, she said she was quick to say “Hey, if I got that wrong, so sorry.”
In the video, Cameron Bure was lip-syncing to “Jealous Girl” while holding up her bible. She said it was “kind of funny,” she wasn’t expecting the Tiktok video to have the reaction it did. Candace said she was quite surprised when some of her followers were outraged about her being too seductive in the clip.
“I addressed it because I’m very honest and open on all of my social media,” she said. “So because I apparently got it so wrong and I was surprised over it. I had to just tell everyone, like, ‘Oh, OK. I thought this was cool.’ I guess it wasn’t.”
The Hallmark star says she has started to question what she shared on the various social media platforms. She second-guesses things all the time, especially if the post is a little out of her comfort zone, which she thinks the TikTok was for her. Cameron Bure had watched her children doing it and was trying to do her own iteration.

Hallmark News – Candace Cameron Bure’s Open And Honest Approach
Meanwhile, Candace says her open and honest approach with her followers is something that applies to other aspects of her life. This includes how she talks to and interacts with her children. She and her husband Valeri Bure share daughter, Natasha, 23, and sons, Lev, 21, and Maksim, 19.
Cameron Bure believes that having conversation and dialogue is so important. She said there is nothing in their children’s lives that is off-limits and that they can’t talk about. Candace told Jana Kramer that she tells her kids all the time, “Listen, you can do the worst thing in the world and there’s always gonna [sic] be a consequence, but I will never not be there to help you through the consequences.” She added that they have to learn their lesson, but she will always be by their side.
Candace’s latest Hallmark movie, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Honeymoon, Honeymurder debuted on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, August 22, 2021.
