Hallmark Channel News – Actress Candace Cameron Bure Speaks Of ‘Stress And Anxiety’
Fuller House alum and popular Hallmark actress Candace Cameron Bure opened up on the Behind the Table podcast about her time on The View. She explained that even thinking about it gives her “stress and anxiety.”
Bure said, “I actually have a pit in my stomach right now,” adding, “There was only one type of stress that I’ve ever felt in my life, that came from that show.” She continued, saying she has PTSD and that she can feel it. This is because being on the show was “so difficult” and managing the emotional stress was “very, very hard.”
Hallmark Channel News – About Bure’s Time On The View
Bure acted as a co-host in seasons 19 and 20 of the national talk show between 2015 and 2016. She shared co-hosting duties with Whoopi Goldberg, Raven-Symone, Joy Behar and more. In the podcast, she recalled the feeling of “pressure” while representing conservative Americans on the talk show.
In fact, she said she often felt stuck trying to understand and get a general grasp of topics that she didn’t want to talk about and didn’t care about. This was so much so, that the actress said that by not having a firm stance on some of the topics, this negatively impacted her emotional well-being.
“When I felt like I was going into a show that I didn’t have a clear opinion about or it was something that I was legitimately nervous to talk about because I did have an opinion about it but I knew I was the only one at the table that had my opinion, I would just get sick to my stomach,” she added.
Cameron said that she hated that feeling, but then thought “I don’t know who’s going to come at me.” The actress said that it got to a point where she would cry before making tapings. However, despite this, Bure did say that she walked away from the talk show with no regrets. She said that as difficult as the job was, she did feel there were many “wonderful takeaways from the show.” Cameron added that she was “very, very grateful for it.”
Candace Cameron Bure recently starred in Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Honeymoon, Honeymurder on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries in August, 2021.
