About ‘A Nashville Christmas Carol’

According to Crown Media’s press release, the movie centers on a workaholic television producer, Vivienne Wake (Jessy Schram). She has a big Christmas special that features country music newcomer Alexis (RaeLynn), something she is really excited about. It means she might be going to Los Angeles soon to accept her dream job. However, she faces some complications. One of these is her childhood sweetheart, Gavin Chase (Wes Brown), who manages headliner Belinda (Sara Evans).

“A Nashville Christmas Carol” will show her dead mentor, Marilyn (Wynonna Judd). The ghost warns Vivienne of a dark future and tells her to expect other ghostly visits. These include the Spirit of Christmas Past (Kix Brooks) and the Spirit of Christmas Present (Kimberly Williams-Paisley). Can these ghostly visits help Vivienne choose between her career and true love?

Speaking to Digital Journal, Baker said she always wanted to be in a Hallmark Christmas movie. With her living in Nashville, which is where the production was filmed, it was the perfect opportunity. The AMC alum also had this to say about “A Nashville Christmas Carol,”

“It was a great experience. I’ve always wanted to be a part of a Hallmark production and I currently live in Nashville so it was a special treat for me to have been cast in this Christmas movie. I worked with Kix Brooks, Jessy Schram, and a few of the kids that were cast. I played the mother of Jessy’s character in a flashback… We all love Christmas movies and this one is going to involve a great story with a lot of great singing. I think country music fans are in for a treat.”

“A Nashville Christmas Carol” premieres on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, November 21. You can also see it on November 22, November 25, November 28, December 4, December 20, and December 25.
