According to a press released by Crown Media, A New Year’s Resolution centers on a TV producer, Kelly Leone (Aimee Teegarden). It is Christmas Eve and she is working late and ends up showing up to a holiday party long after it’s over.

She makes a resolution to be more present during the following year, especially when it comes to not disappointing her friends. She also vows to say yes to all the social invites that come her way. During the resolution conversation, a bank marketing executive sits at the next table over. Tom Malone (Michael Rady) and Kelly chat and flirt. Neither of them realizes that they will cross paths again.

Crossing Paths

A New Year’s Resolution will show that certain people cross paths for a reason. This happens with Tom and Kelly. What also occurs is that Kelly ends up participating in many events and activities as part of her “yes” resolution. Some of the outings are things she would never attempt before making her New Year’s promise. During all of this, Tom and Kelly continue to spend time together and it seems a romance might be blossoming.

Romance Interrupted by Bank Scandal

Hallmark Channel news teases that the romance will be affected by a bank scandal. However, Kelly’s production team plans on covering the story. After learning this, she feels it’s best to stop seeing Tom. However, he convinces her otherwise and the two end up sharing a kiss.
