Hallmark Channel News: Another Popular Actress Inks Deal With GAC Family

Lately, it seems that several Hallmark actors are jumping ship and landing in GAC Family’s lineup. Jessica Lowndes is the latest to join in. Lowndes will not only star but also direct and produce shows.

Hallmark Channel News – Jessica Lowndes’ Deal

Hallmark’s Jessica is a very popular actress starring in movies such as December Bride and Merry Matrimony as well as a host of other Hallmark films. Jessica has signed a four-picture deal with GAC Family where she will star in, write, direct and be executive producer. Lowndes wrote the screenplay and executive produced the movie Harmony From The Heart that premiered this weekend on GAC Family as well. Lowndes is another in a list of Hallmark stars that have signed deals with GAC Family in the past few months.

Hallmark Channel News – Following The Former CEO?

Hallmark Channel fans are curious as to why so many Hallmark actors are turning to GAC Family. GAC Family is run by Bill Abbott who is the former CEO of Crown Media Family Networks, the owner of Hallmark Channel. It seems that Abbott is recruiting talented actors from Hallmark to his new channel. Lowndes joins a host of Hallmark stars who has signed with GAC such as Danicka McKellar, Jen Lilly, and Trevor Donovan. All of these actors have signed multi-picture deals with the network. Lori Loughlin and Daniel Lissing from Hallmark’s When Calls The Heart also joined GAC Family for the spinoff When Hope Calls. Loughlin was dropped from Hallmark after the college admission scandal that she spent time in prison over.

Hallmark Channel News – Jessica Lowndes Wears Many Hats

The Hallmark Channels Jessica Lowndes wears many hats as a multi-talented actress. Harmony From The Heart makes six films that Jessica has produced and the second she has scripted. Lowndes also performed several songs in the film as well. Jessica’s first movie with GAC Family was Autumn Romance which she produced. Lowndes produced and starred in Angel Falls Christmas in November 2021. Lowndes played Adrianna on the CW’s 90210 for five seasons. Lowndes has also released over 20 original songs as well. There is no word on Lowndes’s status with Hallmark at this time. However, Hallmark fans certainly love her and would hate to see her leave the network.

Lowndes’s song Silicone In Stereo reached #11 on Billboard in both the U.S. and Canada. We wish Lowndes continued success in all of her endeavors. Hopefully, Hallmark fans will continue to see Lowndes after her deal with GAC Family is completed.
