Candace Cameron Bure is a Hallmark Channel fan favorite, starring in several of the network’s Christmas movies over the years. Candace recently hosted the Hallmark Channel 10th Anniversary Countdown to Christmas sneak peek, and the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries ‘Miracles of Christmas’ preview special.
The busy mom, author, and actress took the time to answer questions about her favorite Hallmark movie moments. “One of my favorites was ‘Switched For Christmas’ because my daughter Natasha was in it, and that was a really special time. [Natasha] did a great job. It was a really fun movie to do, playing twins.”
Halmarkies participating in the live chat asked Candace if there were any other Hallmark Channel Christmas movies that were close to her heart. “’ Journey Back to Christmas’ because there were lots of things set in the 1940s. The hair and costumes were really fun.”
It wouldn’t be Christmas without Candace starring in a holiday-themed movie. ‘Christmas Town’ will make its world premiere during the ‘Countdown to Christmas’ 10th Anniversary Extravaganza. The ‘Aurora Teagarden’ star talked about the upcoming movie.
“I play Lauren, and she is kinda packing up her life and moving on, and she gets detoured to a little town called Grandon Falls. What we learn is Lauren has grown up in the foster care system, and when she comes to this town the community feels like family to her. It’s the family she’s never had.”
It wouldn’t be a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie without a handsome man in town. Travis, the good-looking gentleman Lauren meets, just happens to be fostering an adorable, charming 9-year-old boy named Dylan. “You’ll have to watch the movie, but I’m sure you can put two and two together and figure out what may happen,” Candace teased Halmarkies.
‘Christmas Town’ also stars Tim Rozon (Constable Carson Myers, ‘Diggstown’). Since this is the first time Candace has worked with Tim, and the actor’s first Hallmark Channel movie, fans had questions about him.
“Tim was so lovely, we had a great time together. He was so happy to be a part of the Hallmark family for the first time, and he had a wonderful time. We had a great time.”
There is a scene we won’t see in ‘Christmas Town,’ and Candace filled Halmarkies in with some of the details. “There was a helicopter scene that we ended up cutting from the movie. But, didn’t find out until we got on the helicopter, Tim gets really sick on helicopters. The poor guy was green in the face, as green can be, and putting his smile on and doing his best as we hovered all around Vancouver. [Tim] was a real trooper.”
Mark your calendars Hearties! ‘Christmas Town’ makes its world premiere Sunday, December 1, 2019, at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT on Hallmark Channel.
