Jessica (Elizabeth Henstridge) is an archival historian that is stuck in a fizzling romance. She is hired to work on an exhibition project that honors the legacy of Christmas at The Plaza Hotel.
While working on the project, Jessica meets a man named Nick (Ryan Paevey), a dashing decorator whose job is to deck out the landmark. As they work on the project, the duo enjoys getting involved in a variety of holiday traditions together.

Eventually, Nick and Jessica find that they are falling for each other. This leads to a dilemma for Jessica, who must decide whether to stay in a stale relationship or to jump into something new with Nick.

Paevey’s new film is part of Hallmark channel’s Countdown to Christmas, which is in its 10th year. According to Country Living, viewers can look forward to some changes to the highly anticipated annual event. For one, expect to see two holiday-themed television shows. Also, it won’t just be about Christmas anymore. The network will also be airing films centered around Hanukkah.
