Three new Christmas movies are already in the works for the Hallmark Channel in 2020. The films will be produced by Brad Krevoy Television, the producers of “When Calls the Heart,” in cooperation with the producers of “High Strung.”
Christmas movies in the works
While many people are relieved that the holidays are over for another year, others will be excited to hear about the upcoming Christmas movies being produced for the Hallmark Channel. According to Deadline, a deal has been struck between Brad Krevoy Television (BKTV) and the creators of “High Strung” to make three new Christmas television movies.
The three movies are titled “Christmas in Transylvania,” “Much Ado About Christmas” and “The Christmas Waltz” and production is set to start this year. Michael and Janeen Damian are the producers of “High Strung” and have worked with BKTV before.
Speaking to Deadline, Janeen Damian said they were thrilled to be continuing their cooperation with Brad Krevoy. She said since they had worked with Brad on “A Princess for Christmas” he has continued to believe in their “unique ability to bring heartfelt stories to life.” Damian also said she hopes long-time and new fans will enjoy what they have in store for them in the way of Christmas movies.
‘High Strung’ and its sequel
Michael and Janeen are the producers of “High Strung” and its sequel, “High Strung Free Dance,” the first of which was released by the Walt Disney Company internationally and also by Netflix, Redbox, Sony and other channels in the US. The sequel, “High Strung Free Dance” is set to be released digitally in the US on February 4, 2020.
BKTV and the Hallmark Channel
Among the movies produced by BKTV are “A Christmas Prince 3: The Royal Baby,” which was produced for Netflix. For the Hallmark Channel, they were behind “Holidays in the Wild,” which starred Rob Lowe and Kristin Davies, “Christmas in Rome” with Sam Page and Lacey Chabert and “Knight Before Christmas with Josh Whitehouse and Vanessa Hudgens.
Previous Collaboration between BKTV and the Damians
BKTV previously worked with the Damians on other Hallmark films, including “A Princess for Christmas” with Roger Moore and Sam Heughan, which came in No. 1 on prime time with a record 4.9 million viewers. They also cooperated on “Crown For Christmas” featuring Rubert Penry-Jones and Danica McKellar, “The Sweeter Side of Life” with James Best and Katherine Morris and “A Royal Christmas” with Jane Seymour and Lacey Chabert
