Hallmark Channel News: It’s Raining Cute Cats and Dogs In February 2020Love isn’t just between humans on the Hallmark Channel, as the channel launches world premiere events relating to cats and kittens, dogs and puppies.

The Hallmark Channel is well known for romantic films and series, where humans fall in love with each other. However, bosses at the channel are also great animal lovers, as can be seen from “Cat Bowl II,” “Kitten Bowl VII,” the “2020 American Rescue Dog Show” and the charming “Tails of Joy,” all enjoying a world premiere during February 2020. Read on to find out more about the “awww-inspiring” shows.

‘Cat Bowl II’

A must for cat people, this Hallmark Channel Original Special premieres on Saturday, February 1 at 11 pm ET/PT. The one-hour special stars Beth Stern, Boomer Esiason, Cameron Mathison, Larissa Wohl, Rashad Jennings and a whole clowder of cute adult cats.

Each cat previously featured in “Kitten Bowl” in the past and now, as adults, are coming together to play an all-star game. During the show, a series of heart-warming and fun segments tell the story of where the cats are now and a bit about their happy cat lives. The show is hosted by Beth Stern, TV personality and author, who is the national spokesperson for North Shore Animal League America, which also presents the special.

‘Kitten Bowl VII’

Speaking of “Kitten Bowl,” this original special has a world premiere on Saturday, February 2 at 2 pm ET/PT. “Kitten Bowl VII” is also hosted by Beth Stern, along with Jill Wagner, Brennan Elliott, Rashad Jennings, and more stars, giving play-by-play action throughout the show.

As with “Cat Bowl II,” the special is presented in partnership with North Shore Animal League America, with Beth as their spokesperson. “Kitten Bowl VII” will feature more than 100 cute kittens rescued all over the country. The fluff balls will form four teams, cutely competing to win the Feline Football Championship.

“Kitten Bowl” first premiered in 2014 and the 2020 game marks an incredible milestone, with more than 40,000 shelter pet adoptions since it started way back then. There can only be a cuteness overload on this special!

‘2020 American Rescue Dog Show’

This two-night event will see its special world premiere on Sunday, February 16 and Monday, February 17 on the Hallmark Channel at 8 pm ET/PT. The special stars Rebecca Romijn, Rodney Peete, Larissa Wohl, Ross Matthews and more. Rebecca and Rodney host this third annual canine competition, which is the only one of its kind to feature rescue dogs. This allows purebreds and mixed breeds alike to try and win top honors during the two-night event.

Among the cute categories are “Best in Couch Potato,” “Best in Wiggling” and “Best in Special Needs,” the winners of which will then face off for the chance to win the title “Best in Rescue.”

Ross and Larissa feature as co-hosts, reporting on all the backstage and sidelines action, while celebrity judges are Kevin Frazier, Melissa Peterman, Jennie Garth, and Gabby Douglas. This can only be a howling success!

‘Tails of Joy’

The final Hallmark Channel Original Special enjoys a world premiere on Monday, February 17 at 10 pm ET/PT. The special is hosted by Larissa Wohl and follows the rescue of 60 dogs and cats, beginning with their journey from a rural area in Central California and the care they receive as they begin to flourish, to identifying each dog or cat’s unique personality. Ultimately this leads to finding them their own, loving fur-ever home.

Through this heart-warming event, Hallmark’s Channel’s “Tails of Joy’ sends a message of hope, while encouraging families to adopt, not shop.
