James Denton has delighted Hallmark channel viewers for years. For instance, the actor portrayed Dr. Sam Radford on on Good Witch. And James has played characters in everything from romances to holiday films on Hallmark. But for his newest role, Denton will take on a challenge, noted Wide Open Country.

In Perfect Harmony, James will sing two original songs. Watch for the actor to croon “Ooh Wee Ooh” and a song with the same title as the film. However, Denton possesses a strong background as a musician. For example, he has played the guitar in a cover band, Band from TV. And together with other actors, James performs throughout Los Angeles, California to help raise funds for charities.

Behind the scenes, Denton will take on the role as co-executive producer for the new Hallmark original movie. And that position should present an intriguing parenting challenge! Because James’ son Sheppard Denton will also star in the film. The dad and son duo will appear in Perfect Harmony on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. And Sherri Straum will take on the role of James’ love interest.

Hallmark Channel News – James Denton, His Son, And Sherri Straum Star In Perfect Harmony

Denton portrays a character named Jack Chandeller. And Straum takes on the role of Barrett Woodword. But Jack, a relaxed pop star, and Barrett, a prim college professor, seem to have nothing in common. However, their friends Simon and Naomi ask the two to step up as Maid of Honor and Best Man at their wedding. 

And to support their friends, Jack and Barrett try to unite. However, Barrett gets upset when she discovers that Jack only provided a playlist for the engagement party. As a result, she persuades him to perform. And he demands that she hop on stage to join him. 

The situation upsets his son Teddy, played by Sheppard Denton, because Barrett is his college professor. However, the duet from Jack and Barrett becomes a hit. And as they spend more time together, they realize that they have more in common than they knew. 

“James Denton has long been an audience favorite,” shared Elizabeth Yost, senior vice president of programming at Hallmark. “And we can’t wait for viewers to see him showcase his musical talent in this role. The story is fun and full of heart, and sharing the screen with his son Sheppard is an added bonus.”
