Hallmark Channel News: Jen Lilley Talks Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday, Project ‘Championed’ Her as a Mom

Angel Fall: A Novel Holiday

Hallmark Channel news reveals Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa Donovan, Days of Our Lives) is excited about the premiere of her new movie. Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday is something that the actress holds close to her heart. On social media, the children’s advocate, adoption ambassador and new mom said the film championed her as a parent.

About Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday

Hannah (Jen Lilley) is a book editor who is forced to pair up with her former rival, Ryan (Carlo Marks). The goal is to help a potential writer find her way. Angel Anthony (Eric Close) comes along and helps remind them about the Christmas spirit and community.

According to IMDB, the movie also has cast Derry Robinson as Santa Claus, Laura Miyata as Ashley, Zach Smadu as Tom and Ava Weiss as Emily.

Jen Lilley Says Film Championed Her as a Mom

On her official Facebook page, Lilley expressed her excitement over the movie. It just so happened to be penned by one of her favorite screenwriters. She also explained that Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday championed her as a mother,

“…this production really championed me as a working momma. I don’t believe in doing anything without excellence, so I was truthfully nervous about my first movie back postpartum. We began filming when Julie was just 8 weeks old, with a lot of all-night shoots, and I really wasn’t sure how it was going to go.”

Taking a ‘Shot’

She continued that she mentioned being interested in learning how to operate a camera. So, director Jonni Wright let her have a go at it! At first, she didn’t want to because she was worried about ruining the shot for her co-stars. However, actor Eric Close encouraged her to give it a shot. Now, she is really glad that she was given the opportunity.

Giving Thanks

The Days of Our Lives alum and Hallmark sweetheart ended her social media post by thanking a lot of people. At a time when people are so divided, Lillye said it’s important to remember love, unity and support.

“Strong people champion others. Thank you #AngelFalls cast and crew for this moment. I’ll never forget it.”

Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday premiers on December 15 at 8 pm Central on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
