Hallmark Channel News: About Just My Type

According to the official website for the Hallmark Channel, Vanessa Sills (Lenz) is a pop culture writer and hopes to become a novelist. She ends landing the “interview of a lifetime” with mystery author Martin Clayborne (Dalton). While interviewing the writer in his rural town, Vanessa realizes that her own dreams and love life have taken a back seat somewhere along the way.

Returning home to Portland, she gets a mysterious present from Martin. That is when she makes an unexpected decision and takes her own “bold” advice so she can live the life she always dreamt of.

Just My Type premieres on March 28, 2020 at 8 p.m. Central. Other actors cast in the movie include Michele Scarabelli, Colleen Wheeler, Rebecca Olson, Nicole Major, Donald Heng and Link Baker.

Just My Type is the first movie in the Spring Fever programming block for 2020. Other selections that made the cut include You’re Bacon Me Crazy with Michael Rady and Natalie Hall. Preview of Just My Type

In a video clip posted to the Hallmark Channel’s official website, a friend of Vanessa’s tries to push her to get to know Martin. She even suggests that Vanessa interview him for the magazine. She finally gets up the nerve to go to Martin’s house to ask, but he turns her down and promptly shuts the door in her face.

During the interview, she asks if there is anyone special and it is hinted that there is and she might be that special woman. This sounds like a romantic movie that fans won’t want to miss.

Lenz may look familiar from her other projects, which include Guiding Light, Charmed, Felicity, One Tree Hill, Dexter, Colony, Grey’s Anatomy and Pearson.

As for Dalton, his acting resume includes gigs such as Army Wives, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Once Upon a Christmas Miracle, Elementary and Deception.
