According to the description posted on the official website for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, Christmas in Montana is about a woman named Sara. She travels to the northern state to help Travis save his ranch, even though he is resistant. It is is also teased,

“Can time on the ranch help restore her faith in Christmas in time for a miracle?”

The movie stars Kellie Martin as Sara and Colin Ferguson as Travis.

In a video clip posted on the Hallmark Channel website, Kellie Martin explained that the movie is inspired by her husband. Even though she is from Los Angeles, he is from Montana. She said they are an unlikely pair.

Actor Colin Ferguson also spoke about Christmas in Montana. He said it is about a ranch owner that is struggling. The bank has offered him a loan, but they send in an “efficiency expert,” which just happens to be Martin’s character. Her job is to analyze the ranch operations and to make a calculated estimate on whether the ranch is a good bet for the bank or not.

However, we have a feeling that there will be a lot more going on than just analyzing the day-to-day operations of a ranch. Could there be a love story in here somewhere? We think there might be!
