According to the official website for the Hallmark Channel, “Love Under The Olive Tree” centers around a land dispute. It gets so heated that the battle actually ends up in court. Apparently, the judge is just as baffled over what to do like everyone else. So, she approves that the winner of the annual olive oil contest will also be the landowner.

It is teased that feisty Nicole Cabella (Tori Anderson) and competitive Jake Brandini (Benjamin Hollingsworth) get more than they bargained for. During the movie, they are surprised to find that while they are competitors, they also share a connection when sparks fly.

Premiere Date and Casting Details

“Love Under The Olive Tree” premiered June 20 on the Hallmark Channel.

In addition to Anderson and Hollingsworth, the cast also includes Gardiner Millar, Shawn Roberts, Karen Holness, Andrew Dunbar, and Hrothgar Mathews. The network posted a video clip that shows us what we can expect. It seems that Nicole was planning on building something on the land. However, she is informed by Jake that it appears it will be constructed on his land. They go to court and both agree to the judge’s suggestion.

Later, we see Jake talking to an older man, who we presume is his father. Jake seems not to be in agreement with him about the issue.

Then, the Hallmark Channel uploaded a preview and sneak peek clip to its official YouTube channel. It is teased that Jake must make a choice between loyalty and love. Which will he pick and could there be consequences in the end? We will have to watch the movie to find out!
