According to the official website for the Hallmark Channel, “Midway To Love” centers around Dr. Rachel August (Rachel Hendrix). She lives in the fast-paced and brightly lit New York City where she hosts her own therapy television show.

One day, the network announces that Rachel’s therapy television is being replaced by a “tabloid shock-fest.” When finding this out, she decides to go back to her hometown for a bit and figure things out. After all, the scandalous schemes and pushy paparazzi are not her things. She’s straight-laced and actually cares about people.  So, what is she going to do next? Well, what happens is something unplanned and unexpected!

Hallmark Movie Features Reunions and Reconnecting

Once in her hometown, Rachel runs into her high school boyfriend, Mitchell Sims (Daniel Stine). He is back living in a small community and works as a fourth-grade teacher. The two decided to spend some time together and he shows her around.

As they reconnect, Rachel has a realization. If she goes back to New York, she will have to leave Mitchell and break his heart all over again. If that happens, she might not get another chance with him.

Hallmark Channel News: Casting and Premiere Date

In addition to Hendrix and Stine, fans will see Andrew Hunter, Eva Bishop, and Brenna Wood in the film. Jeffrey Day served as writer and director. Thomas Lockridge also was listed as a writer for the project.
