There is no keeping the Hallmark Channel back, especially when it comes to romantic movies and series, and with Valentine’s Day coming soon in February, there is absolutely no doubt romance will be in the air.
The first of four original romantic films to be aired on the Hallmark Channel during February is “A Valentine’s Match,” starring Bethany Joy Lenz (known for playing Haley James Scott on the WB/CW TV drama “One Tree Hill”). She features in the story with her mother, played by Mary-Margaret Humes of “A Feeling of Home” and “Dawson’s Creek” fame, and her former fiancé, Zach Williams (played by Luke Macfarlane of “Brothers & Sisters” and “Killjoys” fame).
‘A Valentine’s Match’ coming February 1
This original movie world premiere is coming on February 1 at 9 pm ET/PT. A synopsis of the film points out that the path to true love is never easy and is occasionally “long and winding.” This is especially the case for the film’s female lead character, Natalie Simmons, played by Lenz.
Natalie is working in broadcasting in San Francisco but gets fired and returns to her Oregon hometown to help out her mom, played by Mary-Margaret Humes, who is busy planning the annual Valentine’s Festival in the town.
While Natalie is already officially engaged, she gets thrown for a loop after reconnecting with the guy who broke her heart – along with their engagement – ten years ago. Zach Williams (played by Macfarlane) is handsome and kind and while she isn’t looking for romance, he certainly grabs her attention once more.
New love in the making for Valentine’s?
As the movie continues, Natalie finds herself in an awkward position. Should she remain faithful to her current fiancé, or is it time to turn to the past and get involved with her former lover?
Remember to tune into the Hallmark Channel on February 1 at 9 pm ET/PT for the world premiere of “A Valentine’s Match.”
