The holiday movie is an extension of the popular Hallmark TV show When Calls the Heart. The two-hour premiere will center around the residents of Hope Valley as they prepare for the holidays. There is a Christmas festival hosted by Lucas (Chris McNally). As for Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow), she is making plans for baby Jack’s first birthday and Christmas. While doing so, she has memories of her late husband.

Hallmark Channel News: Paul Greene Discusses Hallmark Christmas Movie

Paul Greene portrays Dr. Carson Shepherd on When Calls the Heart. The actor recently appeared on an episode of Hallmark’s Home & Family. During the interview, he discussed the Hope Valley holiday special, as well as another movie he filmed, Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy.

In the upcoming Hallmark movie, it is teased that Carson will go on an adventure. His mission is to get Faith Carter (Andrea Brooks) back to Hope Valley. The actor reveals there are some miscommunications and a few obstacles during his mission. However, Carson will also have the opportunity to help someone else during his journey.

Greene also teased that the Christmas decorations for the movie are magical, saying “they really outdid themselves this time.”

First Promo for When Calls the Heart Christmas Movie

Based on the promo clip for the holiday movie, Hope Valley looks festive with the town fully decorated and all lit up. It is teased that for some characters, honoring old Christmas traditions is important, but so is making new ones.

The promo clip was very brief and didn’t reveal too much dialogue. However, the character’s faces and body language tease that there will be romance, gratitude and remembering loved ones that are gone.
