Hallmark Channel News – Star Ryan Paevey Compares Himself To Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise may want to consider mentoring Ryan Paevey. Because the Hallmark star just confessed that he loves action-packed films. As a result, Ryan longs to do his own stunts just like Cruise, noted Heavy.
However, Paevey admitted that producers don’t feel thrilled with his desire to risk his life to take on Tom Cruise-style stunts. For instance, Ryan wants to ride a motorcycle in a Hallmark film. But he can’t seem to persuade the production team to let him fulfill that desire.
“I’m a motorcycle fanatic,” gushed the Hallmark hero. And with five bikes of his own, the actor loves everything about riding a motorcycle. But he recognizes the problem with hopping on a motorcycle and taking risks for a Hallmark film. “I know productions have a tendency to get a little nervous when one of their leads is on something that can potentially kill them,” pointed out Ryan.
And the star of A Little Daytime Drama also admitted he missed a Hallmark film after a motorcycle crash. “My introduction to the Hallmark universe was me bailing on a film because I crashed and almost lost my right hand,” confessed Ryan. “But I’m sure there are characters out there that ride motorcycles. Someone mentioned I was like the Tom Cruise of the Hallmark universe. I would love to be the guy that does stuff. Up for anything.”

The Marrying Mr. Darcy star also parallels Tom Cruise in refusing to set limits on stunts he feels willing to perform. “Climbing, surfing, kayaking bikes, whatever. Throw me through a wall. Let’s do some stunts. I’m your guy,” offered Paevey.
And recently, Ryan got the opportunity to demonstrate his surfing skills in Two Tickets to Paradise. But Paevey shared that he didn’t give producers a chance to refuse. And he ordered them, “Do not hire a double. I will do it.” After growing up surfing, Ryan added, “You cannot bring me out to Hawaii for six weeks and expect me not to get in the water.”
As a result of the character’s action-packed life, Paevey enjoyed every aspect of filming Two Tickets to Paradise. And the actor got to indulge himself in “some fun things such as kayaking, hiking, and surfing.” But Ryan also wants to take on projects that require a learning curve. Calling himself “very hungry for knowledge,” the Hallmark star recently inked an exclusive deal for several films with the channel.
And Paevey praised Hallmark as unlike any other experience. “The creative people I’ve had the pleasure of working with both at the network and on every set have made this collaboration so special,” he summed up. “And I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
