According to the official website for the Hallmark Channel, A Christmas Love Story premieres on December 7. The brief summary teases that Kristen Chenoweth plays a youth choir director. She must come up with a big song for the Christmas Eve show. However, she gets distracted by a boy with an amazing voice. He joins her choir, which comes as a shock to his father, who is a widow.

In addition to Chenoweth, the movie also stars Scott Wolf, Keith Robinson, and Kevin Quinn.

The Hallmark Channel is famous for its yearly Countdown to Christmas line-up. This movie is just one of many that were hand-picked for the seasonal theme. Others that were added include Christmas Town, Christmas at Dollywood, Holiday Date and A Cheerful Christmas, just to name a few.

In addition to Christmas movies, there were a few changes to this year’s line-up. They have added Jewish films to be more diverse, which should appeal to even more viewers.

Hallmark Movie News: Preview Details

Wolf plays what seems like an optimistic holiday-loving widow. In one scene, he excitedly tells the choir director that Christmas only comes once a year. In another scene, he stands frozen as he watches Chenoweth’s character look amazing coming out of a vehicle. With a big smile on her face, she rushes up to him. With her light blonde hair, the white coat she is wearing really makes her look like a living, breathing angel.

Even though the movie summary focuses on her job as a choir director and the widow’s son having a golden voice, it seems this might truly be a love story.
