Hallmark Channel news reveals that the movie centers on a woman named Elizabeth (Krakow), which is interestingly enough, the same name as her character on When Calls the Heart. Spoilers from Crown Media’s press release tease that Elizabeth is getting ready to get married. However, when she is in the midst of planning her engagement party, a furious storm strands her fiance across town. The only person she has for company is her soon-to-be husband’s free-spirited brother, David (Tyler Hynes). As the two talk, he brings up scenarios that make Elizabeth question all of her major life decisions, including walking down the aisle with David’s brother.

Hallmark Channel news reveals that Krakow has a very different look in “It Was Always You” than When Calls the Heart. Spoilers tease that a lot of people are focused on her hair in promotional ad campaigns for the movie. It’s shorter, a tad darker and she has bangs. In fact, she still has the same style right now, as observed during a recent Zoom interview. Even Fuller House and Hallmark sweetheart Candace Cameron Bure mentioned how gorgeous Krakow’s hair looks!

Entertainment Tonight has the exclusive promo and we can see that Elizabeth seems distraught by something and is telling someone that she had her whole life figured out. She even had it on a list, which she ends up losing. We can see that she seems to have known David for a while, perhaps even longer than her fiance. He picked her up while she was walking home, he played the guitar as she strolled down the street, and he even made friendly jokes while she danced oh-so-awkwardly. It is suggested that the person that Elizabeth is meant to be with isn’t the man she’s marrying… but David. It is also teased that true love can be right under your nose.
