When Calls the Heart is a fan favorite on the Hallmark Channel, and its spin-off series, When Hope Calls has also become a popular show. Hearties are looking forward to season 2 of When Hope Calls. What can they expect?

The new spin-off series was released on Hallmark Movies Now on August 30, 2019, and has gone on to exceed everyone’s expectations. Hearties love the new show and are looking forward to the second season.

When Hope Calls is the story of Lillian and Grace, two long-lost sisters who are reunited at Brookfield and according to fans, the chemistry between the two sisters is wonderful. It is always worrying when a spin-off is made of a popular series, but in this case, Hallmark has retained the atmosphere and essence of When Calls the Heart, while having its own separate story and characters.

Season 2 of When Hope Calls

Even though the show was aired as recently as August 2019, fans are already looking forward to the second season and to learn more about the dynamics between the various characters in the cast.

Season 1 premiered on August 30 on the Hallmark streaming service and ended its 10-episode run on October 25, 2019. After airing on Hallmark Movies Now, the series heads to the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at 9 pm ET.

As for season 2, due to the fact that When Hope Calls quickly built such a great fan base, Hallmark listened to fans and there is a good chance of the show being renewed This is especially as various issues remain unresolved between the two main characters. If everything goes as planned, season 2 will premiere at some stage in or after November 2020 on the Hallmark Channel.

In the meantime, it was reported in January this year that Janette Oke, author of When Calls the Heart, will be releasing a three-part novel series of When Hope Calls in May 2020. The release of the novels reinforces chances of season 2 actually happening.

Season 2 will most likely see the main cast members reprising their roles from season 1. Morgan Kohan will return as Lillian Walsh, while Jocelyn Hudon will reprise her role as sister Grace Bennett. Other actors returning from season 1 are Greg Hovanessian as Charlie “Chuck” Stewart, RJ Hatanaka as Gabriel Kinslow, Wendy Crewson as Tess Stewart, Marshall Williams as Sam Tremblay, Kalinka Petrie as Lucie Clay and Neil Crone as Ronnie Stewart.
