Hallmark Channel – Carlos PenaVega Was Not Getting Roles
In an interview with Fox News, Alexa admits that not only were Hollywood influences getting to Carlos but he was getting rejected for every role he auditioned for. “Every audition he went on, it would get down between him and one other guy and the other guy would always get it,” Alexa said. “This went on for a full year.” Alexa says she was pregnant at the time and with the stress, they moved up their timeline to relocate from Hollywood to Hawaii. Alexa admits she felt that God was telling her they needed to leave Hollywood. Eventually, Alexa realized that she wasn’t moving for Carlos, she was moving for herself.

Hallmark Channel – Love In The Limelight
Alexa and Carlos’ new movie Love In The Limelight will kick off the network’s “Fall Into Love” program beginning in August. This new project will appear on Hallmark on August 6, 2022, and includes six new songs pinned by Carlos. Love In The Limelight is inspired by the real-life love story of Willie Aames and Winnie Hung. Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President of Programming at Crown Media Family Networks says, “We are committed to broadening the scope of our storytelling to offer viewers a fresh perspective, while still creating the heartwarming movies they love and expect from us. Love in the Limelight is a perfect example of this approach and we can’t wait for fans to see it.”
The PenaVegas have certainly had their share of success with Hallmark. We hope to see many more movies to come.
