As a reminder of how it all started, “Chesapeake Shores” follows the story of a high-powered career woman, Abby O’Brien. Abby finally manages to leave her hometown of Chesapeake Shores to head to the Big Apple, New York. However, when the divorced mother of twins visits home, she comes across people from her past. This includes her high school sweetheart, Trace, her much-loved grandmother Nell, and her uncompromising father, Mick.

As she revisits her past, Abby realizes that her esteemed career is preventing her from being a hands-on mother to her twin daughters. She then makes a permanent move back home to Chesapeake Shores
Season 5 is on the way
Back in April, the premiere date for season 5 of “Chesapeake Shores” was released. Fast-forward to now, and we finally get a look at the first trailer, that picks up from where the last season left off. Fans will remember the cliffhanger of Abby and Trace’s kiss – now we are going to find out more!
In the trailer, Trace pulls back from Abby, saying, “That was a kiss goodbye, wasn’t it?” While normally, love conquers all with this pair, it seems this time things might not end so happily this time. This is especially after Jesse Metcalfe is set to leave the show.

Hallmark Channel News – A Celebration Is On The Way
However, there is also a big celebration on the way for Bree, news of a wedding and maybe a baby. There is also an O’Brien reunion like no other, talk of the past and plenty more.
Meanwhile, there will reportedly be a new face in town, as Hallmark Channel star Robert Buckley joins “Chesapeake Shores.” Time will tell if he will be the new love in Abby’s life. Watch the trailer here:
